Members may have their pets' pictures taken from 9:00 - 10:00 am, and family photos will be from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Enjoy an evening filled with culture and music, as the UCSB Chamber Orchestra performs orchestral masterpieces at the Lehmann Concert hall. The winners of the quarterly UCSB Chamber Music competition will serve as the UCSB Chamber Players for the night. Bring the whole family and experience harmonious music at its finest!

Join thousands of spectators as they line up at the State Street to witness the 67th Annual Downtown Santa Barbara Holiday Parade, kicking off the holiday season! The signature nighttime event will bring a colossal contingent of high-stepping marching bands, fabulous holiday-themed floats, spectacular performance groups, and local personalities. Wear your sunny outfits and break out those Hawaiian shirts, as this year's theme celebrates all things Tropical!

Writers of all levels are invited to participate in this informal exploration of the Museum's galleries as an impetus to writing. Each session is led by a visiting writer/facilitato r who begins with a conversation and prompts, partially inspired by works on view. Participants are free to write on their own and then reconvene as a group to share and comment on each other's work. Please bring a journal or notebook, laptop, or tablet on which to write.

The Christmas Revels: A Venetian Celebration of the Winter Solstice is a joyous theatrical celebration set in Renaissance Italy. Venice’s “Festival of Fishes” is fast approaching. Performing groups vie for selection to perform for the festivities. A traveling commedia dell’arte troupe is desperately eager to participate, but the Magistrato in charge of selection is determined that the lowest class of citizens – actors – be excluded from the lineup.

The first solo U.S. museum exhibition of Japanese artist Tatsuo Miyajima’s art in over two decades, this captivating immersive presentation of four light-based works embodies this internationally renowned artist’s career-long philosophy: Keep Changing, Connect with Everything, Continue Forever. Reflecting millennia-old precepts found in his Buddhist practice, Miyajima ingeniously creates silent, vividly glowing objects and installations from today’s industrially-produced LED numbers and computer technologies that evoke profound and infinite worlds of being, space, and time.
