The community-wide festival and a summer Santa Barbara tradition is finally here! The Old Spanish Days Fiesta is now on its 94th year and will be celebrated from August 1-5. Can't think of which activity to do first? Let's give you the top 5 on our list:

5. El Mercado de la Guerra

Time: 11am–11pm 

Feast on Spanish and Mexican - American foods as you enjoy a live entertainment into the early evening. Don't forget to wear your most colorful outfit in sync with the event. Located at De La Guerra Plaza, on the first block of East De la Guerra Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.


4. Santa Barbara Mission Docent Tours

Time: Wednesday thru Friday: at 11 AM and 1:30 PM

A special Docent-Led Tours will let you explore the Queen of the Missions. This amazing and scenic landmark is well located at 2201 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105. For more information and pricing please contact the Santa Barbara Mission at (805) 682-4713.

3. El Mercado Del Norte

Time: 11 am -11 pm

Dance your way through the food, music and lots of fun! There will be four distinct "neighborhoods" for all of the family: Fiesta foods for the food court with daily entertainment, the Fiesta Bazaar for souvenirs, Fiesta Carnival for rides and attractions designed for the kids and lastly, the Crazy Horse Cantina for icy cold beer. Mercado Del Norte is located in Mackenzie Park at the corner of State Street and Las Positas Street in the San Roque area.


2. Annual El Desfile De Los Niños (Children's Parade)

Time: 10 AM

The City Parks and Recreation Department once again have put up the adorable Children's Parade. Parade participants, parents and most especially, the young people of Santa Barbara don traditional costumes and celebrate the rich culture of the area. The parade is en route to State Street, from Victoria Street to Ortega Street. Viewing the parade is free. Please call the Parks and Recreation Department at (805) 564-5418 for information and an application.


1. Fiesta Arts & Crafts Show

Time: Saturday 10 am–6 pm and Sunday 10 am - 5 pm

Local artisans will showcase their handmade creations along the beautiful beachfront Cabrillo Boulevard just West of Stearns Wharf. Screen through the scenic marina and the spectacular view of the coastal mountains as you stroll on and enjoy the arts and crafts.
