01 Volunteer Orientation

03 Spring After-School Ceramics

13 Chardonnay Run

Grab your athletic shoes and get ready to run. Both a 10 miler and 5K run/walk present fun challenges for one and all. The scenic route takes participants along the Santa Barbara waterfront. 14 Santa Barbara Kite Festival

15 Motown Mondays

18 Exhibit Opening & Reception

5 pm at Santa Barbara Maritime Museum

Be the first to see the newest exhibit at the Maritime Museum. Rum Running, Sailors and Prohibition showcases an exciting and turbulent time in American History. Get a glimpse into the rum running business and view artifacts on loan from the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Guests enjoy appetizers and even Real McCoy tastings. 25 Everything Is Illuminated

Delve into the turbulent times of World War II during this amazing production. Join a Jewish-American author on an adventure to the Ukraine to find the woman who saved his grandfather’s life. 27 Founding Day Festival

Watch a re-enactment of the first Founding Day and celebrate with neighbors and friends. A local tradition since 1782 this wonderful event highlights Santa Barbara history. 28 Santa Barbara Earth Day

11 am at Alameda Park

Celebrate Mother Earth at the 49th Annual Earth Day Festival. Play, drink, eat and learn about ways to combat climate change and go green. Adults gather together in the beer garden for a drink or two and then go watch the entertainment on multiple stages. Games and crafts keep the kids busy. The festival is in full swing Saturday and Sunday with evening performances on Friday starting at 5 p.m. More information can be obtained on the website.

29 Nothing But Laughs
