Start off your new year on the right foot by getting off the couch in your Santa Barbara home and participating in the Resolution Run 5K and 10K.  Founded in 1979, this is a Santa Barbara tradition that is brought to you by The Santa Barbara Athletic Association.  Run or walk and help benefit local club and school running programs for those who call Santa Barbara home.  Come on out on January 1, 2016 to Leadbetter Beach to participate.  The 5K begins at 9 a.m. and the 10K starts at 9:45 a.m.  The registration fee is $30.00 through December 30th and $40.00 the day of the race.  Really go for it and choose to participate in both races for the same price!

Even if running is not your favorite thing, come out, get some fresh air, and cheer on the participants.  The course has a lovely setting starting at Leadbetter Beach heading east along the Cabrillo Bike Path and back to the start line.  Those running in the 10K will continue past the starting line and go up Leadbetter Hill to Shoreline Park and come back for the finish.  A fun tradition awaits all who live in Santa Barbara and participate in or come to watch the Resolution Run.  Visit SB Running to find out more about the race and to register.
